The Music Society was established in 2019 with the purpose of promoting concerts and 
performances of fine music, of a wide variety of types, and to appeal to as many people as possible, in St Mary’s Church with its great acoustics.
St Mary’s already had a reputation for staging many good, musical events over the years and the Music Society wants to build on this tradition.
The profits from such events at the end of each year will be given for improvements to the fabric of the Church. The Transformation Project, completed in 2021, has delivered great benefits to St Mary’s including free-standing chairs that are moveable so that different configurations are possible for each performance.
