Stones painted as in this picture are being found around Wivenhoe.

The idea for this Advent activity came from Revd Sara. She painted a number (?) of stones and has been leaving them around the town in various places.
Finders are encouraged to take the Baby Jesus stone home, make a comfy manger for him and post a photograph on St Mary’s Facebook page.

Finds have been reported in Dry Dock and by Millfields school so without knowing so, at a guess they’re spread around where walking families would come across them.

Keep an eye on the Facebook page to enjoy the pictures from finders as more are bound to come in – and one on the ground, you could get lucky.
