We hear on the grapevine that there are people in the town who sorely miss the sound of St Mary’s bells.
Someone was even seen to suggest that a donation to the church might entice the bellringers back to the tower!
Well, there’s nothing the bellringers would love more dearly but obviously it is currently out of the question.
However, we do have a recording of the bells and are happy to share it here as a downloadable file. It was recorded in the ringing chamber of the tower and you’ll also hear the tower captain’s instructions to change the pattern.
