Ghostly bellringers. . . ?

If anyone should hear St Mary’s bells this Sunday afternoon- be assured there’s nothing supernatural going on!

One of the bellringers posted this explanatory Tweet.

Despite strong gusts across the river the bells of @WivStMarys rang ok but have since been rung to the down position – a note to local natives in #Wivenhoe there is a chance they could start ringing a little on their own if caught by gusts in the tower! 😴🔔🙄
