Showing the inside of some of the works and particularly the ancient craft of the stonemasons would have been great… but catching them at work was beyond the powers of diary synchronisation!
Johnnie, of Bakers of Danbury, made time for some explanation of what had been done and why. It was a pleasure to hear him talk about what clearly is not just a job to him – the confidence of the skilled craftsman and a real sense of care for the building shone through everything he said.
Regrettably, the skills of the video maker cannot begin to match that but hopefully the following insights will be enjoyable
