Open Gardens weekend in Wivenhoe is happening once again, after a break of three years.
It will be the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May.
We expect 26 gardens to be open over the weekend, some just on the Saturday, some on the Sunday but most open on both days.
The event is organised by people from St Mary’s Church and from the Wivenhoe Society.
A ticket costing just £5 will give you access to all of the gardens, and can be purchased before the weekend from the Wivenhoe Bookshop in Wivenhoe’s High Street, opposite St Mary’s Church, or from Town & Country Estate Agents, in Vine Parade, near the Fire Station.
Tickets will be available from many of the gardens over the weekend too. The gardens are generally open between 11am and 5pm.
A map showing which gardens are open is included in the free programme that can be downloaded by clicking here.
Also being promoted this weekend is an Art Trail in Wivenhoe with many studios open.
The weekend of 20th and 21st May will be a lovely social weekend to be exploring Wivenhoe.
