How to Donate

From the Appeal Chairman

I believe the Transformation Project will greatly benefit our community as well as those who already use the Church on a regular basis. It will make this wonderful, historic building become better used for many different purposes.

Thanks to the generosity of many people, £275,000 has already been raised. We now need your help to raise the remaining £375,000 to complete the rest of the Transformation Project:

1. The Annexe – new level access to the Church, Lobby, two WC facilities including a toilet for disabled persons and baby changing facilities, the 45-seat Community Room and a small kitchen
2. The Nave – with changes to make it a more flexible community space
3. Re-decoration of the church interior and new floor
4. Landscaping of the Carolin Garden

All donations, from £1 to £10,000 will be very welcome. They will contribute towards upgrading the facilities to support St Mary’s and the wider community for the 21st century.

I hope you feel able to join Rev Erwin Lammens and everyone involved at St Mary’s in this Transformation Project in supporting this Appeal.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss them.

You might like to note:

If you are able to Gift Aid your donation, then every £10 is worth an extra £2.50 in tax back to the Transformation Project as St Mary’s Church Wivenhoe is a registered charity no. 1165660.

Please note that all contributions to the Appeal are kept separate from all other monies held by St Mary’s Church.
We will be applying for grants from church bodies and other charitable trusts but the more we can raise from within Wivenhoe, the more likely we are to attract grants from these charitable trusts and foundations.
