2023 concert programme

The Wivenhoe St Mary’s Music Society is pleased to announce that they have arranged the following concerts:

Friday 28th April – Quattro Amici. A quartet of professional classical vocalists covering a range of musical genres from Opera, Operetta, Musical Theatre and Classical Crossover. Tickets £10.

Friday 26th May – Encore. A Wivenhoe-based group singing songs from your favourite musicals. Tickets £8.

Friday 30th June – Kingfisher Ensemble – A trio of classical musicians, with celebrated violinist Beth Spendlove, together with Yan Yi Li on viola and Christopher Slatter on cello, playing a selection of music for a summer evening. Tickets £10.

Fri 28th July – the Hosepipe Band and poetry by Blake Morrison. Foot-tapping, ceilidh music with a vibrant band. Tickets £8.

Fri 1st September – A Sea Shanty Extravaganza with The Hoolies, Motley Crew and the Felix Stoweaways. Tickets £8.

Fri 13th OctoberThe Abbeygate Concert Band with lots of brass and wind instruments.
Tickets £8.

Fri 17th November – The Wivenhoe Orchestra and guests. Tickets £10.

Please note that tickets will go on sale approximately 4 weeks before the date of the Concert from the Wivenhoe Bookshop and on the internet via TicketSource (search: ticketsource/wivenhoe).
All tickets include a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink.
All concerts will be held in St Mary’s Church, Wivenhoe and start at 7.30pm.
