With the easing of Covid restrictions, we have been able to plan two musical
evenings in the final part of 2021 as below:
A SEA SHANTY EXTRAVAGANZA on Friday 3rd September at 7.30pm featuring the Wivenhoe Hoolies, Brightlingsea’s Motley Crew and the Felix Stowaways from Felixstowe.
Post-event report: These three sea shanty groups provided a 140-strong audience with a rousing concert. We regretted having to turn quite a few people away so as not to make the church too crowded. It was a great evening and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
THE WIVENHOE ORCHESTRA -Feast of Music 3
on Friday 12th November at 7.30 pm
The Orchestra under its leader, Pam Garland, will once again be performing a wide selection of music for us all under the title of Feast of Music 3 as this will be the third time the Orchestra have played for us. Pam has chosen a number of pieces of music that will be familiar to many of you. They are being joined by the 4 clarinetists, Clarion Quartet, who performed superbly with the Orchestra at our last concert in 2019.
Tickets include a glass of wine or soft drink. Further glasses of wine will be available to purchase.
Doors will open at 7pm. Performance at 7.30pm. Free seating. Tickets are £10 each and are available at the Wivenhoe Bookshop or via the internet here.
