Music for Remembrance

St Mary’s Singers and soloists will be singing a selection of appropriate music for this special anniversary on Remembrance Sunday evening 11th November at 7.30 pm in St Mary’s church.
This will include music for choir and soloists by Fauré, Stanford, Mozart, John Rutter and Handel, and also Mark Blatchly’s choral setting of “For the Fallen” (written for the British Legion in 1980), with lyrics taken from Laurence Binyon’s 1914 poem.
The performance will feature organ music played by John Rippin including a piece by Parry from 1918.

Do come along to the concert conducted by Graham Wadley and accompanied by John Rippin. Free admission with retiring collection for St Mary’s.
