Thy Kingdom Come #Wivenhoe

We’re now looking ahead to Ascension and Pentecost, marked across the Church by the Thy Kingdom Come initiative, started in 2016 as a simple invitation from Archbishop Justin Welby and Archbishop John Sentamu, encouraging Christians from all denominations to pray for more people to come to know Jesus Christ.

The WIVENHOE PRAYER DAY on Thursday 10 May at St Mary’s is part of this. The day wil begin with Morning Prayer at 10 am and the church will remain open for anyone who wants to come in for private prayer. The day will conclude at 8 pm with a service of Eucharist for Ascension Day.
