St. Mary’s Church and the Wivenhoe Royal British Legion Branch would like you to join them in paying tribute to all those who lost their lives in conflicts,
however long ago or recent. This is also an opportunity to remember someone special, or those who have been victims of the terrible tragedies that have occurred in recent months, both at home and abroad.
Everybody is invited to make a large poppy- red with black centre – and bring it to the church between 10 am and 2.30 pm on Saturday 4 November with a dedication tag attached.
If you belong to an organisation it would be great if you could involve others.
Or you could join the poppy making that will be going on in the church on that day, bringing some materials or using those made available at St Mary’s.
Now try to visualise this: all the poppies will be mounted onto netting surrounding the columns in the church where they will remain until after the Remembrance Service at 2.30 pm on Sunday 12 November.
And we’ll need HUNDREDS so please spread the word!
