The Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) is coming up and St Mary’s is updating the electoral roll.
There’s still a quaint remnant that allows any residents in the Parish to vote for the Church Wardens, whether they’re on the roll or not. But having your name on the electoral roll means that you’d be entitled to vote for the candidates for all the various offices that are needed to run St Mary’s.
It doesn’t commit you to any work or financial contribution.
The Rules about who can be on the roll run to nearly 2.500 words so we thought you might be pleased to know that if you’re over sixteen but not sure you qualify, we’ll find out for you as soon as you put in your application form. Forms are at the back of the church and we’re open on Sundays 😀
