Two collection points have been set up in Wivenhoe where donations in kind can be dropped off They are at
- Millfield School: Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays until 23 September.
- Cable Power on the Brook St Business centre, Monday-Friday between 1pm and 4pm.
James Downes (Cable Power) and Tom Golding (local resident), who are working with the grassroots organisation Calais Action, will be driving down to Calais on 24 September with a van load of essential supplies to help the migrants there. The list below is of goods wanted – other items will not be accepted. Last drop off: 22 September.
*We appreciate there is a difference between migrants and refugees but their status makes no difference to their current needs and suffering.
