Hustings meetings

The Area Dean writes:

As the General Election draws closer, a number of Hustings meetings are taking place in and around the Colchester Deanery. Some are being organised by the Press or voluntary groups, but it is vitally important that the electorate understand the parties’ and candidates’ stance on those issues which are central to the well-being of our community in the eyes of Jesus, through meetings organised and attended by Christians.

Our Deanery is covered by no fewer than three Parliamentary Constituencies and we are pleased that there are to be Hustings meetings in each of them. We would encourage you to promote and pray for them.

The meeting for the Colchester Constituency will be held on Monday 27 April, at 7.30 pm in St Botolph’s church, chaired by Bishop Roger;
the one for the Harwich and North Essex Constituency is on Saturday 2 May, 7 pm- 9 pm in the John Owen Barn, Fordham CO6 3NL. You need to register your attendance for this one at:
